What an absolute privilege it is to be able to play a role in weddings that are still happening despite what’s going on in the world right now. To see an exuberantly joyful day like Abby and Brad’s in the midst of it all is quite the juxtaposition. It reminds me that joy can be found in any place, in any circumstance, and even in any worldwide pandemic.
Surrounded by their parents and siblings, the wonderful crew at Clovernook Country Club, their videographer, and me, these two that have known each other since elementary school promised their lives to one another. Brad commented to me that morning that pushing back their wedding date wasn’t even a thought that crossed their minds. I’m pretty sure they would’ve gotten married in their living room if they needed to. Yes, the big ado and huge celebration is amazing and important, but there is something to be said about boiling it all down to what matters most: marrying the one your soul adores. They plan to have that big celebration next year around their first anniversary, and I can’t wait to celebrate with them that day too, but for now I’m just glad these two still decided to marry each other.
Thanks for letting me be a part of this incredibly special day, you guys. It was indescribably and wonderfully perfect.
