Well, friends, the world is a crazy place right now. COVID-19 has taken over lots of space in our minds and hearts. From the perspective of a small business owner, this is all a little scary. Weddings and sessions are getting rescheduled and canceled, my sweet clients are stressing about their plans, and everything just feels so uncertain. If you let it all mull in your mind for too long, it can really pull you into a sad and anxious mindset.

Today, I’m choosing to not let myself go there. I want to use this time to catch up on some things. Last Fall when I had a broken arm and my schedule was crazy with weddings, senior sessions, and more, I took a break from blogging my clients’ photos. It was a choice I had to make in order to prioritize healing and getting photos in clients’ hands, but I didn’t like the feeling that not every wedding and senior session was featured here. These crazy times have forced us all to slow down, and I think this is a great time for me to highlight those sessions that didn’t get featured before.

First up on the list: Alyssa! Her session was at the end of last summer, and let me tell you: she’s a force to be reckoned with! Alyssa is fierce and confident and empowered. She knows how to WORK in front of a camera. She’s the perfect example of the rise in confidence I’ve seen in my senior girls over the past year or so. I don’t know what’s causing this fierceness in the next generation of women, but I hope it continues, because women like Alyssa are going to be game changers in our world.
