WOW. What a sweet couple. What a sweet love story. What a sweet engagement shoot. From the moment you first experience Maddy and Evan together, you get the sense that they’re just meant to be. The way they interact, the way they talk to and about one another, and all the crazy life connections that would inevitably bring them together (and let me tell you, there are a lot of connections!), point to a relationship that God designed. I loved hearing them enthusiastically tell the story of their first date and how they spent HOURS talking, and how neither of them had ever experienced such ease and such connection with another person right after meeting them, and how Maddy called her sister after the date to inform her that Evan was going to be her husband. Well, she was absolutely right about that, and now these two giggly, bubbly, and kind people are on the road to marrying each other later this year.
The shoot itself was a dream. After having to reschedule due to rain, we were blessed with the perfect evening at one of the most beautiful locations in Ohio. The sun and clouds took turns ruling the sky, and the mid-60s temperatures allowed us to worry about nothing but getting the best photos we could. And, guys, I ADORE these photos. I smile looking through them because you can just SEE how in love, how giddy, and how excited these two humans are to marry each other later this year. I couldn’t have hand-picked a better evening or a better couple, and I’m so grateful that Maddy and Evan chose me to capture this crazy, exciting, whirlwind of a stage in their lives together.
